Reading Activity
- Use Zotero to import the article and take notes, or print and use highlighters. Highlight the following with different colors for each of:
- Concepts being measured / tested
- Information about data sources
- Information about procedures
- Results, both intermediate and final, that can be used to check the accuracy of a reproduction
- Use Draw.io to draw a workflow diagram representing your understanding of the research design, or draw neatly by hand or with a tablet.
Lecture and Discussion
For this lecture, please read Chakraborty’s (2021) paper thoroughly with the intention of understanding the research methodology. Some of the individual research techniques will be new to you, so try to understand them as well as possible through context clues: what are the inputs, parameters, and outputs of the new techniques?
